Oh what do you do...

When you're climbing a tree.

And a branch smacks you in the eye.

So you scream bloody murder

Till your neighbors come out of their homes to "investigate"

When Mom arrives to the scene you grab her hand and hold it tight against your eye.

And screaming some more till Daddy gets the eye drops out

While mom orders sister to get a cold damp rag

And pressing it against your face till you become one with the rag

And scream some more till your whole body shakes....?

...why, you make a "pirate thingy" with a "pirate sign on it".

Silly!

*He's fine, by the way. Can't you tell by his smile?

What's better than 2 ?

SIX of course!

I can't NOT tell you HOW VERY EXCITED I am!

I posted not too long ago about Iris starts I got from my grandma in Idaho. And I have waited for a long time for them to open. I thought it was never going to happen.

They were just going to stay holed up in their warm little buds and open up VERY slowly.
So to check on them this afternoon. (I usually check in the mornings, but see?...I was convinced they would not be opening up anytime soon.)
I was quite plesantly surprised....to say the least.
I grabbed my camera and hubby called....ugh.... "Let me call you back! I've got pictures to take!"
Look at the sparkling edges!........gasp.........(If you have to double click...go ahead....it's TOTALLY worth it).........I didn't know they sparkled!!! *I told Ashton that the flower fairies came in the night and opened them up. That's why there are sparkles!
The fragrance....all I can say, "Sucks to be you! WOW!"
The excitement inside of me is just jumping! Trying to find it's way out!
I called my grandma! (Of course I did. I've drug her along this whole growing process. But I knew she'd be excited for me nonetheless.)
Grandpa said they had a really bad freeze last night and hope that they didn't loose too many of their own.
The fact that they are growing and blooming is exciting because, to me, I've preserved my grandma in a way that will ALWAYS bring her back to me....after she's gone.
I'm gonna go now....the excitement is welling up in my eyes.
When my next plant blooms, you will be the first to see it here. I've got 6-7 different varieties too look forward to. And I hope you do to!

Audrey's Bits of Tid

I've decided to come up with something to do on a regular basis like these fine blogs have been doing.
Nikkicrumpet- I Wish Wednesday (My favorite cause she's got pictures!)
Mental Pause- This-n-that Thursday
Cake Wrecks- Sunday Sweets

I feel like I need a day to customize my "title" but I liked what I came up with so I'm sticking with it. Plus if I don't post on my "alloted" day, I won't feel so bad. I'll do it when I feel like it.
They will be my random thoughts on certain things and whether you agree with them or not, I'd still love to hear what you have to say as well.

~I changed more than 6 poopie diapers today. (I really had to put that out there!)

~Mykael was told that she's at a 9th grade reading level. Cool huh?

~Speaking of poop....Jade wants a poop cake for his birthday. I'll post pictures later
.
~Ashton put himself to bed (IN MY BED) around 6:45-7:00pm. I'll be up early tomorrow. UGH!

~My 58 year old dad got his braces off today after having them on for....uuhhh...hold on (calling dad)..... 2YEARS and 3 MONTHS! How cool is that!? Can't wait to see them. (to be honest, I didn't think there was anything wrong with them in the first place. Lish...only how many more years for you?)

~ELI....is now asleep in my bed. (I didn't want to sleep anyways.)

~I was told that I may have a herniated disc. And if that's the case for those of you wondering....yes, it does hurt. A lot. All the time.

~Next time, I will tell you why I named this, "Audrey's bits of tid."

I must be totally out of the loop...

....Because I do NOT know what Emo is. BUT according to wikipedia, It's been around since the year I was born.

I've heard it referred to as a type of group at school. Like the jocks, preps, hicks, skaters, nerds, punks, smokers, gothics ....etc.
But now there is Emo.
With googling, (cause that's how i find the answers to my life's questions) These are some of the images that pop up.
How sad they look,
(do you have to be sad in order to be an "Emo"?)
How does one become an Emo? Do you have to have the physique? Like a jock has to be buff? OR
Do you have to paint your nails black like the "goths" or "punks"?
And the piercings?.....Do you have to have....any? At all?
Is there special "Emo music" they listen to?
Is this what I get to look forward to? Sad, Black haired, holey faced,.........Emo's sauntering into my home to end up holed in their rooms listening to "sad" punk music?
I'm really curious. So enlighten me, if you please.... Do you or a friend have an emo? (Now I sound like a reach-out hotline commercial.) But really, just curious.

Once upon a time....

I've been trying to come up with a clever narration for these pictures. There is a story behind them, but I must have writers block because I write something and can't seem to be satisfied with it.

I've decided that you can make up your own story, and I'll give you little boosts on where to go with it.....

Once, there was
a little boy named (fill in the blank)
And one night when (?) was asleep at night, a beautiful ...(fill in the blank) came to him.
She had wonderful news about him.
She told him that ....(fill in the blank). And he was SO excited. He couldn't wait to tell his friends.
When he met up with his friends the next day in their special....(fill in the blank).
They couldn't believe it either. So they decided to go (fill in the blank) hunting.
The younger one named, (fill in the blank) thought that THIS would help.

...And decided that he needed more.
Off they went in search of the great, (fill in the blank).

On their journey, they found a cute little (fill in the blank).

And discovered that this cute little (fill in the blank) had JUST the tool they needed to hunt and capture their (fill in the blank).

All of a sudden they met a (fill in the blank). Who showed them how to hunt (fill in the blank) successfully. Before they knew it, she caught a (fill in the blank) RIGHT before their eyes!
After that (fill in the blank) had to give it a go as well.
And caught one too.
The end!
