The latest

It's been awhile. Thought I'd show you an update. I finished the flesh on the fleshless ones. It's definitely slow going but I'm still working on it.

Whatdaya think so far?

Rainbows

Once a month I teach Eli's preschool class. This month we are learning about different kinds of weather. Rain, thunder and lightning, wind, rainbows, rain.....etc.

I was lucky enough to get rainbows. I say that now, but I was NOT looking forward to teaching it. For some reason, I felt that it wasn't going to be very fun teaching how to mix colors and stuff like that. But I took the time to have a great lesson and the kids loved it.

These were the snacks. Rainbow jello  with ALL six colors. Took about 30 min per color to set up. So this project is SUPER time consuming, but super rewarding. It made A LOT of jello cups and it was the biggest hit among children AND adults. I had a blast eating it. The colors look so cool when you spoon them out. Hold it up to the sun or a light. It's so pretty! If you want exact measurements for this recipie...Just ask and I'll email it to ya.
I don't have a picture, but for the color mixing portion of the lesson I came up with 6 of these plastic cups filled with about 1/2 c water. In three separate cups I took my handy dandy food coloring drops and made red, blue, and yellow water. Mix it really well. To make the secondary colors take two of the colors and pour simultaneously into a clear cup of water. MAGIC! The water turns. I was so proud of myself for coming up with it. At midnight. The night before I was to teach.Try it. You're kids will love it! And the jello too!

Jealousy

I always wished I had long lashes. That just went forever.

I wouldn't care if they were blond. That's an easy fix.

Unfortunately, I don't. And never will.

Fortunately, my kids do. And (most likely) so will my grandkids.
And that's good enough or me.
And yes, he did this himself? Surprised?

Piggies and Big Bums

"Mom, I have a big bum like you."
"You what?"
"I have a big bum. Like you."
"Oh really? I have a big bum?"
"Yes, want to see?"
"Sure Eli."
Eli stands up, turns around, and moons me.)
"See mom? I have a big bum like you."
"Yes you do and I like your bum Eli".
"Yea." *Smile*
****************************************
"I can tell you about my piggies."
"Your what?"
"My piggies. This is a fat piggie (thumb)
This is smart piggie (pointer) This is tall piggie (middle) This is lazy piggie (ring)
And this is baby piggie (pinky)."
"Oh! I see."

Not a lot to say? Yea, me neither.

My little snow angel

Introducing...

Selene.
She's definitely not Kortana, but still a sweetheart.

She was only about 2 months old when we got her and very "cuddly." She would let me rub my cheek against her and would hide up under my "wing". Every time I held her.

Just like a momma.

And I loved it. I was even able to lay on the floor with her, laying flat against the ground, under my arm.
She now has a friend: Jax. And they've become quite fond of each other. Desperate "cries" piercing my ear drum whenever they are separated discourage any "human bonding" time for a long period of time.
I'll post pictures of him soon. He looks A LOT like Kortana.

Ingenious? Why yes, I think so.

I'm thinking: Architect or Engineer.

What do you think?
